Aurora
The decor of PutiikkiHotelli Kemi 1932’s room Aurora, has gotten it’s inspiration from the Nordic Lights or Aurora Borealis that can be seen during cold clear nights in the skies of the Arctic.
The Finnish language name to this amazing phenomenon is ‘Revontulet’. It originates from an ancient tale of the Lappish Saame people. According to the story Aurora Borealis is caused by a fox running on the Arctic hillswith it’s tail hitting the snow causing sparks in the skies. According to an old Asian brief, a person who has once seen Aurora Borealis, gets to live rest of their life happy.
Twin room (14,5 square meter) has been equipped with two single beds, an arm chair, a worktop and a chair as well as with a LED-television and a Chromecast- digital media player that allows you to stream media straigth from your smart devices directly on the television screen. The room has a fitted carpet flooring.
Four private lockable, nicely designed and fully kitted out toilets and shower shared with only five other rooms.
The room, located upstairs on the first floor has a stunning view into our private mature park.
