About Kemi & Meri-Lap

Within walking distance you will find Kemi city centre's business centres with shopping opportunities, the stunning seafront and Kemi Inner Harbour with its harbour cafés and restaurants, as well as Santa Claus' official harbour office.

In summer, the beach and the year-round LumiLinna at Strawberry Fields can be reached on foot in just 15 minutes. On the way, you can stop at the children's traffic park. Along the shoreline you can samoel in the nearby maritime forest of Kiikeli, where you can walk, run, cycle, snowshoe or ski.

Kemi is located at the bottom of the Bothnian Sea in Southern Lapland, together with four other municipalities, Tornio, Simi, Tervola and Keminmaa. Meri-Lappi combines the urban life and nature of a peaceful small town with the long history and modernity of the region. The archipelago of the Perämeri archipelago and its salmon rivers and winding tributaries offer exciting adventures, fishing and experiences all year round.
